Fotefar mot nord is now launching the new project "In the middle of history", where children are at the center. In the project, school students are invited to explore, interpret and communicate the cultural heritage associated with the Fotefaret in their own municipality – in their own words and perspectives.

In collaboration with The Cultural Schoolbag (DKS), students are given the opportunity to write their own stories based on their local Fotefar. These stories will later be recorded and become part of an audiovisual performance that combines sound, image and the history of the place. The project is now underway with a pilot project in collaboration with Várdobáiki, focusing on the Fotefar Gállogieddi – a Mark Sami farm in Evenes municipality. Sami-speaking students in the area have written engaging and imaginative stories about the underground people who live on the farm, as well as other stories inspired by the life, nature and traditions associated with Gállogieddi. With "In the middle of history", children have the opportunity to be active cultural mediators, and at the same time contribute to highlighting the diversity of voices, languages and stories that are part of Fotefar mot nord.
